The severe weather resulting from Hurricane Irene that is bringing hazardous conditions across the East Coast is leaving difficult conditions and is affecting FedEx operations. Unavoidable service delays should be expected due to widespread power outages and local road conditions. FedEx is committed to providing service to the best of our ability in areas that can be safely accessed and where conditions have improved. DHL
The impact of Hurricane Irene has resulted in various airport and road disruptions throughout the Northeastern U.S. Availability of local DHL pickup and delivery services will depend upon what areas may be accessible.
All DHL Express U.S. facilities are prepared to operate starting Monday, August 29. DHL has been proactively managing its network and activated contingency plans to minimize shipment delays and prepare to provide service to the best of our ability.
The DHL Express International Service Guarantee does not apply for late shipment delivery of DHL Express shipments caused by natural disasters.

Flood alerts remain in effect for the areas in ZIP Codes 169 -188, and 195 – 196.
Power has been restored to the Lehigh Valley, 2299 Highland Ave., Lehigh Valley, PA 18002 and Harrisburg, 1425 Crooked Hill Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17107.
Trees and power lines are down in ZIP Code areas 189-194.
Operations at the Philadelphia Processing & Distribution Operations Center, 7500 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19176 continue as scheduled.
Operations at the Southeastern Processing and Distribution Facility, 1000 W Valley Rd., Southeastern PA 19399 continue as scheduled.

Highway 12 is flooded in Rodanthe and will be impassable for 3-4 days. The ferry will be shuttling mail to the Southern Outer Bank offices.

The Richmond Processing and Distribution Center, 5801 Technology Blvd., Sandston, VA 23150 continues to operate without power or telephone. Currently this facility is working using a generator with limited capabilities.
