UPS Names Tamara Barker New Chief Sustainability Officer

Barker will succeed Rhonda Clark, a 26-year UPS veteran, who has been named Vice President of Corporate Plant Engineering for UPS. US 04/13/16Atlanta, GAUPS (NYSE: UPS) announced today that Tamara Barker has been named the company’s new Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and Vice President of Environmental Affairs, effective immediately. Barker, a nearly 30-year UPS veteran has held a wide array of roles at the company, most recently as the west region director of plant engineering. “As our business continues to grow, UPS is committed to meeting increased demand in ways that consume less energy and produce fewer emissions, yet maintain high service levels for customers,” said Mark Wallace, UPS senior vice president global engineering and sustainability. As Vice President of Corporate Plant Engineering, Clark will concentrate on the construction and expansion of automated facilities and innovative material handling systems, facility maintenance, and environmental and regulated goods compliance for UPS worldwide.
