UPS Names Cindy Miller President Of Global Freight Forwarding

US 04/06/16Atlanta, GAUPS (NYSE:UPS) announced today that Cindy Miller has been promoted to president of global freight forwarding at UPS. Prior to her current position, she served as president of the UPS region in Europe. “The air freight industry is central to the development of trade and the global economy,” said Miller. “With a senior management team of more than 1,200 combined years of experience, customers can rely on UPS to partner with them on their global logistics needs. Miller also directed key expansions in the Healthcare and Retail/B2C sectors, including the rollout of UPS My Choice and the UPS Access Point network.

Postal Service previewed the second in its series of 16 Forever stamps commemorating the centennial of the National Park Service. Arches National Park, Moab, UTThe stamp image is a photograph by Tom Till of Moab, UT, and represents the iconic Delicate Arch. The Postal Service previewed the Acadia National Park Forever stamp yesterday. The 16 stamps, intended to represent the diversity of areas in our national park system, are being previewed over the next three weeks.

FedEx Office Headquarters Features Four-Story Mosaic By Dallas’ Own Award-Winning Artist Sonia KingFedEx Office today celebrated the official unveiling of a new visual centerpiece at its recently-opened corporate campus in Plano, Texas. Sonia King has spoken on mosaic art on five continents and had artist residencies in locations as varied as Russia and Turkey. FedEx Office selected the mosaic, created by world-renowned artist Sonia King, to illustrate its commitment to the local community and a company culture based on collaboration. FedEx Office welcomed approximately 1,200 employees to its new corporate campus last fall, consolidating two locations. King’s mosaic, Depthfinder, is the first by an American in the permanent collection of contemporary mosaic art at the Museo d’Arte in Ravenna, Italy.

Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries donated the land that became Acadia National Park. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, METhe stamp image depicting the Bass Harbor Head Light was photographed by David Muench.
