Teamsters Continue to Lose Steam at FedEx Freight

Teamsters Continue to Lose Steam at FedEx FreightFedEx Freight, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX), announced today that, for the fourth time in five weeks, the Teamsters union has withdrawn an election petition, this time at the FedEx Freight service center in Nashville, TN.
“Our drivers continue to send a clear message that the union is not needed and not wanted,” said Pat Reed, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, FedEx Freight.
In addition, the union has withdrawn petitions before the scheduled elections in Nashville, TN, Middletown, PA, South Newark, NJ, and Richmond, VA.
“We remain confident that the vast majority of our team members want to continue their direct relationship with management without third party interference.”To date, FedEx Freight drivers have voted against the union in Louisville, KY, Delanco, NJ, and Newark, NJ.
The union would only take this action if it recognized that it would lose.
