FedEx Honored as Top Corporation for Women Business Enterprises

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council Issues 17th Annual List

MEMPHIS, Tenn., February 3, 2017 — FedEx Corp. has been recognized by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs). This prestigious award is the only national award honoring corporations for world-class supplier diversity programs that reduce barriers and drive growth for women-owned businesses.

“FedEx is proud to be recognized by WBENC,” said Sue Spence, vice president of Sourcing at FedEx. “The development and growth of women-owned businesses is a key focus area for FedEx, and we are committed to doing all that we can to create opportunities for women entrepreneurs not only in the US, but globally as well.”

“As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we are so proud of WBENC’s Top Corporations, including FedEx, for choosing to set the standard for access and increase opportunities to women suppliers in new markets—both domestically and internationally,” said Pamela Prince-Eason, president and CEO of WBENC, the nation’s leader in women’s business development. “WBENC-Certified WBEs in turn are able to fuel innovation, and empower communities through economic growth and job creation.”

As the only national award honoring corporations who are choosing to integrate policies and programs to enable growth and reduce barriers for women-owned businesses, FedEx is committed to increasing opportunity in markets—both domestically and internationally—as well as fueling innovation and empowering communities through economic growth and job creation.

FedEx will be honored in front of an audience of more than 1,500 business leaders at the WBENC Summit & Salute to Women’s Business Enterprises March 21-23 in New Orleans.
